Maps and locations

Photostories can plot your location-tagged photos on an interactive map — a globe you can spin or a flat world map — so your travels and photography life is part of your site.

Tagging photo locations

Add a location to any photo from its details — alongside its caption. You can set a country, which places the photo at that country's center, or a more precise spot. Only location-tagged, public photos appear on your map.

Enabling the map

The map is an optional surface. Turn it on in the design studio: toggle Map on, and a Map link appears in your site's navigation. With the map off, nothing changes for visitors.

Globe and flat views

Pick the style that suits your story:

• Globe — a 3D world you can rotate, good for journeys that span the planet.
• Flat — a familiar flat world map.

You can switch between them in the design studio and watch the preview change live.
